April 2021 CZ/BRNO Scoped 25 Yard Rimfire Central Online Benchrest Match

(This may be a few days early but with the luck I have been having with phone and internet service I thought I should get this done while I knew I could)

Happy 2021 everyone. I hope everyone is excited to get another season started. It just goes to prove that there is always something good to look forward to. I know we will have some new shooters this year so be prepared to offer your help when requested as you always have.

And a reminder, post up any target you shoot so we can all praise you for your perseverance and improvements. Just don't forget to go back and mark your best as "Official Entry" before the end of the month.

Guidelines:

CZ or BRNO scoped sporters less than or equal to 9.0 lbs when weighed with the magazine removed. The CZ 452, 453, 455, and 457 Varmint models should qualify unless your glass and rings are more than 2 pounds, but as far as BRNO Models 3 and 4 -- sorry guys, you'll have to step up to the 50 yard distance.

Any safe trigger. Maximum magnification of 9x on the scope. (Those with variable scopes set them to 9x or lower).

No aftermarket barrels or stocks only CZ's original stocks and barrels. It is also prohibited to swap the stocks of different CZ models such as taking the stock from a Varmint and putting it on a Trainer. If one has damaged his/her original CZ stock, they may order the same exact factory replacement stock for their specific model. There are other BR games on RFC for dramatically altered rifles. We are trying to encourage competition with unmodified or minimally modified scoped CZ sporters. As to custom stock bedding performed on a factory stock, no compound-bedding allowed, pillared or non, and plain pillar bedding is prohibited as well.

Target is the USBR Target (The Green Monster)

22 long rifle

Fired from a benchrest using separate front and rear support and a bi-pod is fine if the shooter prefers. Gun vices and one piece rests are not allowed.

Distance to target is 25 yards

Time limit - 1 hour for unlimited sighters and the 25 rounds for score

You can shoot on an indoor range if it is your only option, but please report that fact in your post.

You can post multiple targets if each is fired with a different CZ. For example, a shooter could post one with her CZ Varmint and another with her CZ American and a third with a scoped Ultra Lux! You may shoot up to FOUR targets with EACH rifle and post the highest score fired with each one.

Post a pic of your target (required) and the equipment you used (recommended) in this thread by April 30, 2021.

Honor system, and we couldn't ask for a more honorable bunch.

Wind flags are fine. I usually tie a piece of bright streamer or the like to a hammered-in stake.

Use this format to post your score(s):

Official Entry
04/25/2020
236-2X
TooWindy4Me (Dusty)
CZ 457, Weaver 6X24 @ 9X
Caldwell Rock front, Protektor rear
65*F, 25 mph, clear

How to score:

A scoring board is helpful

TARGETS?

Good question!

And as usual, if anyone notices anything I have omitted or done wrong above please point it out to me so that I can rectify it quickly. It's been a long 3 months and I have a tendency to forget if I ate supper or not by bedtime.

I just want to say thanks for keeping this thing going. I’m looking forward to trying out my two new entries. Also I’ll have some special GM sauce this year as I have an appointment at the Lapua test center in mid April. Let the games begin.

With RWS having a major, try $300, increase in case price, I won't be switching brands and can only hope for the best using Standard + again this year.

New to these fun shoots and want to be sure.

So if the gun is over 9# or has any of the mods or work listed below that would not allow them to shoot sporter, we would shoot 50 yards, correct?

And if so what power can be used?

Just ordered some targets and want to try to participate in the fun shoots and learn.

Caleb, you are correct. If the rifle and scope exceeds 9 lbs. or has any of the listed modifications it is not eligable for these matches. This is the only matches I participate in so I am not familiar with the 50 yd. matches. I do know the "Fun Shoots" are at 50 yds and scope power is unlimited. There may be something else you can find on the main page under RFC Online Matches down toward the bottom of the list. Good luck and shoot straight.

I got my new 457 American out today. I have a ways to go with it. I’m not going to post the particulars yet as I think, I hope I can better it.

"I hope I can do better"..... What an understatement. LOL. That new barrel must need a few more rounds to get run in good. We all know that is sub-par for you.
