Couple things this shooter found harder. Hold offs. Sometimes you can’t see where the last shot went (identifying trends) and having a good sighter bull for when conditions change.

Wimped out and just held center.

Looked at it as the elevation was the ammo but the windage was me.

I don't attempt hold offs CM.
I simply wait until the flags and berm vegetation show minimal movement.
The 50 at 100 is not a timed event, I wait for the lulls to make the squeeze.
It's only 50 shots and I have all morning. When there's no wind,
I can go through a box in about 20 minutes. On a day where it's puffing,
It can take an hour plus due to having to fit the shots into the best moments.
It doesn't work during tailwinds though. Never can tell where the turbulence is.

Makes me thankful for the indoor 100yd range down the street from work.

That being said.... any requests for a [email protected]? I have the following on hand...

CCI SV, 36g Minis, 40g Minis, Copper 22, Stingers
Winchester M22
Federal...variety of bulk

Shoot all of them Jim. That indoor range should make for some decent results.
As long as ya' keep posting these targets,
I'll keep track and link them on the first page for easy searching.
I checked my collection last night, quite a few single boxes to use up.

Don't forget pics of the range and rifle. I like my rifle pron.

Be careful with the Copper22.
I had 6 inches of spread at 50 yards and 17 inches when attempted at 100 yards.

Oh my, that’s quite a spread with the new unleaded pills? Could probably hit a raccoon if trapped within a 55 gal drum.
What were they thinking, better yet do they even care?

Islander made this contribution...

Quote: Went to the range this morning before the wind got too bad.
I only have a couple of boxes left of what this rifle likes
so I did the “whole box” test with some other stuff I had in the cabinet.

Eley Sport

Federal Gold Medal Match
It wasn’t horrible, with just two flyers.

Once I get some more of the good stuff, I’ll try that.
Rifle: MPA BA22, cz455 action and their barrel, Timney trigger.
Scope: Sightron S-Tac 4-20X50

Krob95 offered these results

Quote: So disclaimer on the below pictures.
I had pulled a couple shots high on both the center x and midas plus groups
due to breaking shots with someone shooting next to me. My point of aim was
also destroyed due to shooting it out so if I do another 50 rd group
I am going to dial a false zero so I have a consistent POA.

I only counted the outer most shots to get a good idea of overall spread.
If you guys think I should count more please let me know and I will.
(I ran 50rds midas plus prior to the 50rd group to let the barrel acclimate to the change in ammo if needed)
100 yard indoor range, without further ado, here are the groups.

Rifle specs are as follows:
Vudoo V22 Gen 1.2 w/ 18” Proof Carbon fiber barrel
TriggerTech Diamond 2 stage
Accuracy International AIAX chassis
Zero Compromise 5-27x MPCT2 in a Spuhr 6002 mount
MDT Ckye Pod
OG Str8Laced bag with heavy fill

(Black stickers are 1” for reference)

Center X

Midas Plus

SK Biathlon
Bergara B14R
Vortex strike eagle 5-25x56
front and rear rest
Zeroed calipers at -0.215 so measurements are center to center
Lab Radar chrono
Hi 1156
Lo 1105
Ave 1118
ES 51

Wind kept changing directions - from the left, right and rear

On a side note - that's the highest ES I have seen from SK Biathlon. I deleted that one hi shot (1156) from the chrono results and the ES dropped to 26

That ES of 51 is not unusual.
I've had a few boxes spit a couple hot/weak rounds.
Usual numbers have an ES in the upper 30's to mid 40's, but have had low 60's.

Very good results with those swinging breezes, CW.

The SK Long Range results look good.

The SK LR's ES of 27 fps is very low. It is a good batch of ammo on that count, at least this particular box. The vertical spread of 1.21" is greater than the ES alone would predict.

That goes to show that, while a low ES is crucial to producing smaller groups especially as distance increases, there's more to good results at longer ranges than ES alone. Other factors include imperfections in individual rounds, minute differences in dimensions between rounds, differences in crimping as well as the difficulty of executing each shot as perfectly as the last.

Was the 1156 high round the first shot? I've found that the first round will some times be the highest round. Cold bore??

From Norway, barronian adds this...

Quote: Here are two 50 at 100m results. the first one is with Eley Match,
the second one with Center-X. all the other holes are just me getting the barrel and me
used to Center-X after using Eley Match for months.
Easy to see my somewhat variable concentration

Sig Sauer STR 200 in GRS Hybrid stock
Delta 5-50x56

If you exclude my fliers then the main clumps are very close to what the ES predicts at 100m.
