As the title states, 50 shots at a single aimpoint at 100 yards.
Any rimfire rifle, or pistol, any caliber, any setup you like.
Not everyone has access to a 200 yard range, but most have access to a 100.
Let's see just how tight those clusters can be with ye'r favorite rig and the cartridge it "likes".
No rush, take ye'r time, use windflags and/or one piece rests.

Benchrest competitors...ya' don't have an excuse not to show what can be done.
Ya' don't even have to change the vertical adjustment on the scope, only the focus/parallax.
Just remember the poi will be 7 to 8 inches below ye'r 50 yard crosshair setting.
Here's a chance to show what can be done with ye'r custom setup.

That's 50 shots, all at the same aimpoint, at 100 yards.
Indoors, outdoors, offhand, bench, prone, are all acceptable.
Include pics of the setup, the view downrange, the cartridges
and the results with a ruler alongside the group for reference.
Include wind direction and velocity to see how it affected the trajectories.
You don't even need to chronograph the results.
We can figure that out from the vertical spread.

There are lots of claims of all day long,
let's see what really happens for just one box of ammo.
See if those "all day longs" actually hold up.

I have some assorted leftovers from the 50 at 200 to work through.
Might as well send them at 100 yards as a comparison.

I'll link the results in order by cartridge and brand for easy searching.
Spectacular results will be highlighted for envious ogling.

Send a message via AIM to comfisherman
I'll put a place holder to go embrace myself.

Need to play with the 17 tomorrow and this could be great fun.... stay tuned for my pie plate shotgun pattern

What happens when an offhand hunter attempts to shoot off a bipod to follow.

I’ll play, 44 degrees and the Martini is feeling neglected as it’s been unfired for three weeks. It may not be pretty but guns loaded and on the way to range. Cloudy with 12-14mph headwind I’ll shoot some lower grade munitions.

Head wind and quartering from eleven opened up Eley CMP bulk. Known ES of 46fps.

Eley Edge also in the 42fps ES range, not happy with ammo north of $10 range.

Fiocchi TT Sport, one double hammer fall on first round, old stale ammo that may have gotten damp in cooler. Many rounds dropping off bottom edge of paper.

Wind died down but CCI Blazers not up to task.

Dead calm CCI Mini Mags to finish off the afternoon. Went 100 rounds Blazer and Mini Mags without cleaning between fifty.

The rifle and setup.
BSA Martini MK V @ 16-1/2 lbs
Tasco/Hakko 8-40x56 scope
Bald Eagle, US made rest Protektor bags with 3M slick silver.
Florence County Wisconsin public range on a beautiful crisp Fall day.

W8, that range is gorgeous, and that Martini is just eye candy.

Thanks for getting this thread off to a good start.
Rained all morning here, went to the pistol range instead,
so others could laugh and poke fun at my lack of offhand skill.

Looks like 3 moa on the Eley CMP.
2 plus on the Eley Edge.
The Fiocchi TT, made in Italy, was obvious junk.
CCI Blazer is 2.5 moa and the Mini-Mags showed 3 with a weak load dropper.

Figured this was a good chance to try a lot of Eley Match that the 1411 didn’t seem to like. No UL gear here. Just a 2 piece, supporting a factory rifle with a couple flags and shot off a picnic table.

Low wind. Experimented using my left hand for the trigger. Seemed a lot easier to avoid contact with the rifle (free recoil).

9F9DC32F-CBCA-44F4-9956-847AE543847C_1601848538852.jpg

Fired 6 fouling shots before moving to the record bull. Fouling shots had 1.7” of vertical before settling down.

Used the bull above for the POA and just held on the dot. 1st five shots were killer then things started to open up....

Thanks Jaia. Fun to do. Never would have thought of it on my own.

Good idea jaja! If you want to better your game at fifty yard bench play the distance. Besides a great way to get rid of stale ammo, 300 rounds down range today between the Martini and 788 in .243 fire forming cases necked down from .308’s.

Busy range day waiting on target posters with a few guys standing there scratching their heads as to what the quiet guy was attempting to do with big holes in the bulls😎

Range is a half hour drive from house but worth the drive with plenty of benches and drive out to 300 yard where I like to play. Forty plus permanent benches on two separate ranges divided by berm. 48” concrete walkways out to 100 yard on both covered ranges, just wish they would have poured concrete benches. Otherwise Guberment money well spent on a public range.

W8, plenty of 22lr to try. Add as many attempts as you like.
I'll keep track and link the results.

Cattleman...didja have to set the bar so high?
I'm gonna have trouble getting anywhere near those kind of results!

1.25 inches at 100 yards would be about 3.75 inches at 200 yards....Daaaaayyyyyuuuuum!
Better'n anything I would do with the 22lr.
