Anyone have any updates on this new rifle? I've looked at 4 of the large wholesalers and it's not showing in inventory.

Moving target, last Monday was told end of June. But today the update was very much more likely july....

But hey if it was volquartsen you would have to ask what year, maybe even decade.

Hey, they're real busy being social media ninjas now. I made the decision last week to no longer purchase rifles from them. QC issues with fit and finish has been an issue for me multiple times over the last couple of years. #priorities

That's all I have to say about it.

I've sent a lot of money towards vq over the years. Probably will as long as they keep innovating, will freely admit to being turned off by the current marketing trend. I get celebrity endorsements, and sadly the culture is muscle bound full sleeve tats and a beard in flannel and skinny jeans. I get it, were all tactical high speed low drag operators....

My pants fit my beard is trimmed, no ink on myself or my wife. Heck she not only has no sleeves, big biceps or a beard......

With that said, end of day products that work drive my decision to buy not how many Facebook posts they do. If the 17 wsm summit looks good they will get my money.

Back on track the Christensen, looks like it could be the ticket in some regards, especially given the action length and compatibility with ruger mags. The ranger 22 excites me a little, but one in the mag cartridges or even the wsm really excites me. It appears the action has the room to grow in the future, hopefully that's where it's headed.

Should be getting closer to them in the wild, hopefully they are up to snuff.

Christensen .22

I'll have to keep an eye open for one of those! I'm waiting for the VQ .22 mag Summit action to hit the market...VQ hasn't announced it yet but the last time I talked to Scott, he hinted strongly that they were working on it. My VQ Summit .22LR is awesome! I think I could find room for a Christensen too!

Yup, looks like started the 18th.

Trigger guard is a bit interesting, will be neat to see some hands on tests.

Awesome, turns out they actually shipped after the 4th. You happen to be close to the factory so it will be interesting to see how fast it gets around the states.

Would love to see it out of the stock in a picture.

Here are some pictures. I think ejector is not hitting shell casing when bolt is being opened.

Thanks for the photos, gave me a lot to ponder on last night.

My thoughts as a consumer of this type and genre of rimfires.

Bolt looks like it's somewhere between rpr and 77/22 in refinement and design. Stands to reason as a floating bolt head is needed for the use of the ruger mags. Not a pro or con, just interesting.

Interesting to see that they dis a tikka style method of moving the chamber back in the action. Hopefully it allows them to grow the action forward for 22 wmr and 17 hmr..... and a guy can dream 17 wsm... seems like the bolt design would allow for this and mags are easily available.

Look like a square rem 700 size footprint. Probably be able to do some dremel work to be blind 700 stock and make then work. Surprised the trigger guard is as short as it is.

Glad to see the massive cheese grater on top is bolt on, could be cleaned up with some dnz or talleys.

Polymere trigger guard is an interesting choice, I realize they are shooting for a price point, but they are a semi premium brand so was still a bit surprised. Will obviously work fine, just an interesting choice.

Trigger looks good, should be a selling point for the rifle.

Big question is will I go order one...... At this point probably not. I love the concept, and the use of ruger mags. Still a hard sell in today's market. Money will likely go to a bergara carbon barreled action first. Now one in 22 wmr... I'd purchase today no questions asked sight unseen.

Hope they get the function straightened out for you, will be interesting to see how it shoots.
