I found a 1807 with a crappy stock. No sights. What would the complete barreled action alone be worth? I was thinking on purchasing it and finding another stock.

The "crappy stock" to which the OP referred may be an undesirable stock configuration rather than one in a neglected or abused condition.

Not the answer your looking for, but it depends on condition, how it shoots, what you expect from it, what the seller wants and more importantly what you or some other person is prepared to pay.

A few years ago I found an 1809 (Match 54 1807 in an 1810 3P Stock) for about 700 USD. It came with the 5018 trigger, a complete set of Steel 6702 International Sights and other odds and ends.

In my ignorance at the time I thought it was expensive, my friends tell me I robber the seller and that they would have happily paid around 1000/1200 for same.

If your in the US, stocks are two a penny, arrange to shoot the rifle, if your happy, then itís down to haggling.
