It has a standard length case, no problem with the match chamber barrels.

I love the stuff, hits hard and groups better than bulk ammo in my gun.
They're almost as fun as Stingers (too bad I can't shoot those in my GM).
Actually they're more fun because they're cheaper and more accurate

I really like`em they are the best shootin bullet out of my BRNO that I have tryed, and I`ve tryed alot. They hit hard and penetrate deep, unfortunately they are expensive at $5.29 canadian a box.

It's a nice round...just a little -less- accurate than Singers in my rifle (10/22).

...with a normal size case.

I'm going to pickup 2 boxes tomorrow at Walmart. Maybe even fire them tomorrow late afternoon if the wind isn't nasty.

RD, I don't have my chrony notebook in front of me... but if memory serves they averaged something around 1350-1375fps from the stock 22" bbl of my AMT. I haven't chronied them from my 18" Butler Creek bbl yet
The hollowpoint is small, so I don't expect the "explosive" expansion of Stingers.
I bought 12 boxes of them from MidwayUSA. They had them for $2.89/box when the only place tht had them in stock wanted over $5/box.

Did you ever check the speed of the Stingers? 1600+fps is really moving for a 22RF. Inside 50 yards they must be wicked on gophers, tree rats, etc.

On the CCI web site click on New Products on the left. At the bottom of the New Products page there is a blurb about the Velocitor.

they weren't as accurate in my 10/22 as regular mini-mags. They do pop a bit louder, and the action definately cycled every time, unlike the blasers I can't get rid of. But hey, I got a new barrel, so I gotta try them again, maybe they'll shoot straighter in this tube.

Stingers in 10/22

I thought that the 10/22 users guide that comes with the guns says, "NO Stinger ammo may be shot in this gun." Are they wrong??? I hear a lot of people shooting it when the users guide says not to. ????

I think that remark is only for the Target model.

I use velocitors for hunting and they work good. For me they group better than any of the cheap bulk ammo, but for the price they should. It does a decent amount of damage without blowing a tree rat apart like a magnum does. I use a cz 452.

Like Ranger Dave said. If you look at the manual (again) you'll notice that it says "T" or "Target" model for not using the Stingers. By the way, many of us upon first reading think Ruger means ALL of the 10/22LR's .
