Do ya'll have this problem?

Last night, a good friend of mine that works overseas, sent me a link to a youtube video called, "I like guns." Shows some guy, with a table full of guns, singing about them. My buddy said that the video was written just for me.

I had to ask him, "Ok, yeah, so what? Just because I was up till 11pm last night placing a Midway order, (before the $10 discount code expired at midnight) and just because I sent off the money for another pistol this week, and just because I bought another case of .223 ammo last week, and . . .

You think that video reminds you of ME?"

So, do ya'll have this problem?

Que, it's just the broad generalizations that are so hurtful.
And, as RootHog pointed out, "gun nut" is one of the most common. I wonder why it is that people who appreciate and collect other things are not called "nuts." I just feel, that as a group, we're completely misunderstood. Kinder, gentler terminology would be in order here. Maybe something like:

Firearms connie-sewer
Gun a-fixee-nado

I've seen my collection grow over the years. if its being a "nut" then I've been one for a long time. before arriving at RFC I didn't even think of it as a collection just some guns. unfortunately I have sold some throughout the years and now looking back I wish I had never done that but different situations caused these sells. I find that I am now a little more selective of the condition unless I am looking for a project or find one I don't have that I find an interest in and at times the condition isn't a strong consideration. I do upgrade at times if I find a better condition than what I have onhand yet I still don't rid myself of the other one....... maybe thats a problem

You have identified a problem OTHER people have. Nothing wrong with liking guns it the other folks that think that is wrong who have a problem.

The real problem is not having enough money for guns. Right now I could get a nice 4" Ruger MKI for $150 or a Ruger old style 44 Carbine for about the same (needs a lot of clean up) but money is really tight and that $150 is needed elsewhere so I just have to watch these two slip away.

THAT is a problem.

I'm not a "nut" sitting in the basement talking to myself wearing army camo while I polish the brass end of a bullet.

Besides, one persons definition of abnormal behavior is someone elses world of sanity in a insane world.

But another gun half so precious as the one he just sold!

havent heard any "negatives" yet about owning a bunch of guns. mainly because i dont hang out around anti's very often.

Most everyone I know loves to shoot (whether they own guns or not), or will at least go to the range to kill an afternoon with me.

Trob,
Don't take this thread seriously, it's strictly "tongue-in-cheek."
All in fun.

Dave,
That's the video I was talking about. My buddy thinks that it's about me!
I don't know where he got that impression.
