I am going to go buy a brick of something today just to do it. Something exotic like some Eley subsonic, or CCI subsonic, or maybe some Aguila SSS if I can find it. Just something I don't normally buy so I can have it in the stockpile. That will be a good rainy day activity, no?

Well, went to FOUR gun shops today and could not find any rimfire ammo worth buying. I mean, there was some ammo but nothing exotic, nothing I did not have or have the equivalent of. Kind of aggravating.

Anywhere from $50 to $120 NZ dollars.

The half price stuff normally cost $70 but got for $35

Walmart clerks are nothing but drones. They don't know what's in the warehouse, either, and don't have any way to find out. They deal with whatever shows up in boxes on the incoming trucks. The assistant managers don't have that info either. They're only there to keep the clerks busy, and deal with minor customer service issues. Anything not on their checklist passes to the store manager. The manager could find out, but won't. He doesnt' want to be bothered. If it's not in his store, he doesn't care where it is; it's not in his inventory, or money into or out of his pocket.

I have seen a clerk use a hand scanner to scan a bar code on the shelve and then that scanner showed what was in inventory for the store. He then went and carried out a case of .22LR's from the back room so there is a way for them to check.

In my local Wal-Mart, only the sporting goods department manager seems to know how to do that. All the clerks just say, "I dunno." It would be that they don't want to bother.

Well, you are halfway home then. Ge yourself soe bullet casting equipment and a supply of lead ingots and you will be as free as is possible for us commoners! lol. If you were close by I would spot you some brass.
