Hi all,
I just signed on to the forum about a week ago and just had to spill the beans about my new trigger group. I had bounced back and forth between whether or not I should buy the VQ group or buy a Hornet Products group off of Gunbroker. I went with the Hornet Products becasue I was shy on money and was convinced that it would do the trick. I got it in silver with the VQ trigger parts for a little over $100. I can't believe the difference in the new trigger over the factory stuff.
I have been putting this rifle together for almost two years now, a little at a time. I first bought a Walmart 10/22 and removed the barrell and stock. Polished the black receiver to a bright alluminium finish and installed it onto a Fajen thumbhole that I finished with Formby's. I then planted a Adams & Bennett fluted, compensated, stainless barrell. On top sits a cheapo but working Simmons 6-24X50 target scope. Before the trigger it was hitting great grooups, but I am looking forward to this weekend to try it out with the new trigger.
