I like the Burris and Leupold turn-in style mounts. Solid and adjustable.

Ditch the rail and go straight into the receiver with Talley’s, DNZ game reaper or equivalent.

+1 for the DNZ if you're going for the "nothing goes wrong EVER!" plan. Personally, I use SigZees, I suspect they'd hold up to any blow that would destroy the scope, beyond which point there's no benefit in being stronger.

I have the DNZ's on all my Marlins and Rugers that did not come with decent mounts/rings. Solid as a Rock!

It is a Burris and you can still find them but you may have to search. I got them cheap and plan on dura-coating them this summer. SWFA has the silver ones for $14.95

DNZ Dednutz/Gamereaper are bulletproof...the simple and rock solid ONE PC. design is second to none IMO..absolute overkill for a 10/22..and I love it. Even the finish is darn near bullet proof..took me 6 hrs to polish these tops.

I am a big fan of the DNZ denutz mounts also.

And Chaser, this one took me days to polish the whole thing. You are right, the finish on these things are fantastic. I just wish they offered a polished version. It would have saved me hours of my life. What I thought would be an hour or two turned into days and days. I will never do that again. EVER!!!

The DNZ mount is probably the most "bombproof" but does a 10/22 really need "bombproof"? The easiest would be to just use a set of good Weaver-style rings on your factory base. The DNZ mount is very good but I like to be able to remove my scope from the rifle without disasembling the mount. My preference is for a Weaver or picatinny rail with Warne QD rings.
