If your talking about the one I have. Mine is a cable with a plastic coating on it. It has a threaded end, and a patch loop on the other. It works better than a bore snake because the cable is stiffer than a string and threads through the barrel much easier. I love it. You should give it a try.
Matt.
I got mine before the boresnakes came out. I use it when I need to let solvent soak into the bore for a while, can't do that with a boresnake. No one around here sells Otis products, so I have to get patches at gunshows or order them.
Haven't seen the site yet, but if I can't find the otis patches I just fold a patch and clip just a bit w/the tip of pair of dikes to make the hole to put the slotted head thru...quick and easy.
I got one (Otis) included with my Volquartsen rifle. I liked it alot. But when I ran out of patches I just went back to my home-made "weed-wacker" pull thru.
I use one all the time, just don't try to get one of there round .22 patches through your .17 it will get stuck in the chamber.I use the old square style patches on my .17 no problem. Good Product..DP
