JWH DEAL... New style Bolt.. free charging handle...
From another post... so this is a duplicate.. just a heads UP!
I am testing one of their new soon to be released Competitor Gen 2 bolts...
This one is slick as a Seals Arss..runs FANTASTIC! Plain Jane bolt face for those who want to keep it simple.. Its the same material as the standard and the original competitor bolt. basically the competitor bolt but they eliminated the insert charging handles and changed the top of the bolt so that it can house a standard charging handle. Firing pin is still like the original competitor bolt and NON-removable....tested to megaK's of rounds...
EDIT... it's live now... and 1st 200 or so gets a FREE charging handle assembly (their choice/random pull of their stock I think) I am told...

I have a Gen 1 Competitor bolt and love it, except for one thing. The way the slot is milled in the bottom prevents it from being locked back. I wonder if this will be fixed on the new ones.

What are the advantages of a "competition" bolt?
I am new to the 10/22 world and just picked up a Kidd bolt.

well, when they (the first gen) were on sale, the advantage was they were half the price of a KIDD
now, with the 2nd gen being $100 at full price, it has no advantage..so you picks your choice and spends your money

Advantages over the KIDD bolt.. IMO there are none.. they look different.. either/both bolts will consistently go bang and run smooth and efficient.. rest assured that you bought a top notch bolt.. Nun Beda!

if there are any advantages from one to the other won't be really known till you have used them both in the same gun.. where it really is going to come down to is if there is an advantage between the blade style firing pin vs. the round firing pin.
What i have seen is several blade style firing pins brake.

Payment
Got to their site easily enough but I don't/won't use PayPal and I didn't see another payment option. Do they take phone orders?
