Anschutz 1403

Tried this rifle for the first time this evening, Anschutz 1403 with 6-18 Bushnell,Eley Yellow box target ammo,25yards,trigger is a two stage set at 8 ozs, shot from just a Protektor rear bag and homemade sandbags in the front, little to no wind,I just wonder if this accuracy is up to par for an Anschutz....I was struggling with holding still and getting accustomed to the rifle , should I buy it? Another interesting note about this rifle, the very first group from a really clean barrel had no cold bore flier and the 5 shot group measured .172"

With groups like that, I would.
Give the 50 yard game a try and see how you do.

I take care of the game as I do his original game in SuperStock. I started this one in his honor because, after all, he was the one that got the whole SuperStock and now Ultimate games started as his same basic plan is being used in all our games and many of Ultimate's.

He has been a huge part of SuperStock, SuperStock bolt, the new SuperSport Heavy and as I said his same basic plan is now being used in Ultimate.

Please thank him, again, for his strong influence on what we have been doing for the last 8 years!!

Ops Squawsach has moved on to being a very successful knife maker. Everyone here should check out his and others knives in the Custom Knives Forum here at RFC. He has down some stunning knives. Just as he and Sawdust used to be so creative in the rifle building he has gone on to build truly beautiful knives.

So, I picked up a new 452 American lefty. It did not disappoint. Made sawdust on the first and second targets it ever shot after being sighted in.

my submission....eley club.

Top right .130"
Center .051"
Bottom left .180"

So needless to say. I am very pleased with my latest purchase.

Love your 50 year old Annie 64 setup. You have that old dog barking like a pup - Congrats.

Some details on the rifle, scope, ammo, etc. would be most appreciated...
