I think a drill press with an adjustable depth ram would be ideal with either of the three Gizzy tools to customize ammo to your particular liking.

I want to try it on some Geco bolt ammo. My rifle shoots Geco bolt as well as Eley sshp ammo. I can buy the Geco for less than half of the cost of the Eley. Now all I need is the toll and warmer weather.

That was my intent with the CCI standard and Quiets.... So far, at the distances I normally shoot squirrels and black birds it looks like a winner.

Pictures

Here are some up close pictures of the CCI Quiets with the mild HP.

As you can see, it doesn't deform the nose of the bullet.

I was able to shoot a squirrel yesterday while out in the field with a CCI Quiet - Sorry no pictures, I went out on the spur of the moment soo... - But anyway. Shot was about 20 yards. Shot it base of neck and dropped him in his tracks as predicted with pretty much any neck shot. On exit though, the hole was substantially bigger than shooting with regular round nose. I wish I could of taken a picture because it would really show, in my opinion anyway, that the HP made the nose open.

Its only one actual test so it will need to be done a few times before I can really say its reliable but for people wanting to body shoot pest animals this might be a way to use existing ammo that shoots well in your guns aready if you dont currently use a HP

Shot it with my Savage MKII 16" suppressed

Just measured before and after. The measurement was taken at the bottom most part of the nose before it changes from nose to the more knurled part

Before.178

After .208

Hope this helps

Range Report.......................

Was able to finally get out to the range today to do some testing.

The weather was a warm 30 degrees so I wasnt able to stay out too long mainly because I couldnt feel my fingers after two hours.

As the target shows here is one of a few side by side 5 shot groups with the hand made hollow points with CCI SV

All shooting was done at 50 yards with a CZ 452 American LH front rest, rear bag.

I want to shoot a few more groups but Im very satisfied with the results so far.

I ordered one on Dec. 28 and have not yet received it. I bought it on Ebay and the seller said he was having surgery on Jan. 1. It was to be delivered on Jan. 6 but I didn't receive a tracking number until Jan. 5. I contacted Ebay yesterday and they opened a case. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I think you will like it for hunting applications. I didnt figure it would increase accuracy; I am happy it pretty much kept the accuracy on par with the unaltered ones.

As for me 50 yards is the high side mostly for me with pest control.

I plan on testing at 75 yards to see if its workable at that distance.

The HP was made with the penny as the depth gauge and using the pin stile adapter
