Any idea what a good, clean 95% Marlin 25MN goes for these days? The one I'm eyeballing has hardwood, no checkering, 2 mags, about as clean as a used gun can be. No box or paper, just the gun/mags.

Asking price is $200. I'm thinking $160-$180 is top dollar..??

Around my neck of the woods 175-200 is about right, the extra mag does make it a little better. IMO

I watched one on GB last week go for $275, which is more than I paid for mine new with a scope. Prices might be temporarily high, If I really needed one I'd probably swallow hard and pay the $200.

Picked it up for $180...didn't want to beat the guy up too bad over $20...looked like he could use the $

Its a sweet little rifle. These wood stocked guns have some heft and character that you just cant get with synthetic...I just keep coming back to wood.

Now just gotta find some WMR ammo!

My son bought one of these as a carry gun in his truck down in South Texas. He recently left the gun with me, and I couldn't resist shooting it off my bench. I have to admit, I was impressed with the accuracy of the stock gun. It shoots almost as well as my CZ.

Priceless.
We were backpacking in the snow back in the early 90's.
Long story short , a pair of snowshoes were lost, S&R went to get my friend out with 3' of fresh powder that fell overnight".
My 25mn and his 10/22 sat in the sheriff's office for a week before we got them.
Guess which one was rusted over?
