The storm cells were very powerful here. 73,000 customer's lost power in Bucks County. It's slowing getting restored, but according to Exelon/PECO power is not expected to be restored in my neighborhood until this Saturday at 1100.

So, might as well get outdoors and hunt.

Yeah, there was some serious winds whipping around. About the same size chunk landed on my back patio. Spent all morning loading onto a trailer. Fortunately, it didn't hurt anyone or anything. And, I haven't heard of any reported storm injuries.

Good news the power company has our power back a couple days earlier then they expected. I really like my AC.

Man, that underbrush you guys hunt in is thick. I'd think a machete would come in handy.

Post Yeah, I like not to have to...

Yeah, I like not to have to paw through a small jungle to find my squirrels. This is typical of the woods I generally hunt. This is from a "spring" season several years ago. Love this place!!!

God Bless, Frank.

I did something today I have been trying to do for 50 years. I have spent a lot of time squirrel hunting and today the squirrel gods were with me. I was watching three squirrels bounce around a big Pecan tree finally one came down a limb toward me I had just put the cross hairs on it when another comes in and jumps on it back and sits still I pulled the trigger and yes both fell out dead. The odd thing is both females

This morning sucked in so many ways. First the place I hunted is still flooded I waded ankle deep mud and shin deep water, and lost two squirrels in the water and weeds (dont think a opossum will find them)The squirrels probably have left this area because it has been flooded most of the year.I hope the pecans make. Now to add to all that the maiden voyage of Apple Jack may also be its last. To anyone that likes the accutrigger THEY SUCK. I do not think I will ever get used to it. On the bench this gun will do a lot better then I thought but in the woods with squirrels bouncing around not worth a crap.

Gun: Marlin 981 SS Ammo: Eley HV HP

22 man, Push the piece of crap Accu-trigger blade back and run a small zip tie through the slot in the Accu blade to hold it back and you have a regular old fashioned trigger again. I despise the triggers with blades you have to pull back first. You can also remove the blade and leave it out.
