I found this little jewel lurking in a corner of the safe today.

I haven’t fired this gun in 30 years and I probably never will again; I’m not taking the chance with modern ammo. Sometimes you’ve just got to sit in the living room cradling it and remembering the good old days with Grandpa.

Looks pretty nice … I only shoot CCi 22 quiet LR in my M 12 long rifles … they are 710 fps … and as far as the cradling and remembering the good ol days, I agree

That's a nice one. I shoot CCI Standard Velocity in my pre-12A. I just bought another 12A last week and plan to shoot it with this ammo too.

This one gets shot regularly, loves CCI Quiets and most any other subsonic ammo, its helped keep my back yard free of vermin for a good long while.

Funny, I was just thinking about getting some more standard velocity ammo to shoot in my 12C.

I have owned a number of the these guns including some 12C guns, a 12B, an NRA, and a few 12A guns. Having been in a downsizing mode for some time, one 12A remains, and it is on loan to my 92 year old mom. She keeps it by the bedside to be used for vermin around the farmhouse where she still lives.

CCI SV is good stuff for these guns.

Grandpa's 12A was the first rifle I shot when I was a kid. He bought it new in 20 or 21, he couldn't remember exactly when. Have fond memories shooting it with Grandpa and my Mom on the homestead farm in NW Kansas a long time ago. Need to dig it out of the vault and shoot it.

Hmmm a spunky mom, you are lucky pump .22s. I love that.

As has been said, standard velocity should be fine.

Mine is in much worse shape, but it was my dad's, and his dad's before him.

Like blackwolfe, it was the first rifle I ever shot.

I have a 12c that i bought a couple years ago. I shoot the heck out of it and my old 1890. I just love old pump .22s. They Go bang every time. CCI SV is all i shoot in it. pretty accurate out to 50 yds.

So standard velocity should be ok; looks like I’ll give it a try between raindrops.

Love shooting my 12C at 2 inch steel targets 50 meters. Most are hits which is pretty good considering iron sights and my poor eye sight.

Yep same for my eyes, so i bought a tang sight for it. Had to get a one where i had to drill a hole in the stock, though. Hated to do that, but boy sure made a big difference in my shooting.
