RAR 17 HMR scope mount

I want to use the dovetail that is on the gun. I plan to buy a Leupold vx 2x7x33 scope to mount. I have another Leupold 2x7 on a CZ 22LR and love that scope. All my shooting will be 75 to 150 yds. I have used Burris Zee rings in the past. For this gun and scope, do I go with Low, Med or High rings? I want the lowest practical mount. If I have to I will take the rear iron sight off to get a low mount.
Thanks

Medium,

However go with the Weaver #12 bases and you can use regular rings like the Leupold rifleman 2-7 isn't a lot of scope for the 17HMR

Thx, what power would you recommend for 75 to 150 yds?

12x more is better. my compact 17 has a 4-14x on it. My .17 Target Marlin has a 20x on it.

I went with the #12 bases on my .22 Mag, Warne QD rings so I can use the irons if I choose. I didn't want to drop a ton on the scope, so went with a Mueller 8.5-25x44 scope. 2-7x isn't going to cut it at the distances you stated.

How are you liking the 8.5-25x44. Did not like mine at first and removed it. Recently tried it again and find it quite good, a bit dim but clear and the BDC dots work well with my 22LR RART. KM
