Do you have a photo of her?
I'm going to be getting some Moose antler, that I plan to replicate ivory with, and I'd like to see how it will look.
My gun at some point in time had all the anodizing removed from the grip frame leaving it in the white high polished, and I wonder how that will affect it as well. Perhaps someone else has the same setup as mine. I know the engraved Single Sixes were done on the bare aluminum from Ruger. Right now it has the factory walnut grips, and looks good but I've always liked the look of ivory, I'm getting a big enough piece that I may even make some for my S&W M-19, all blued naturally.
The contrast will be even better there.

Anyone ever seen a pair like this??

Yes they are nickle plated.

Bummer they are close to the correct serial numbers, but unfortunately no, they are not factory.

Poor picture I know.

S/N is 918XX which if I read those tiny numbers on the Ruger website right makes it a 1958. Finish is worn, but it locks up as tight as a new one. The grips appear to be homemade.

Should have kept that Nylon 66.
Even with the bulged barrel.
I have a buddy, and his barrel is bulged.
Shoots every bit as good as all my 66s.
Go buy it back !
Sometimes numrich has barrels for sale.
eBay almost always do..
Enjoy that 66!

My Only Single Six

N-D7100-1948-Web.jpg

Purchased this beauty in Feb of 2019. 6-1/2" barrel. I put these grips, ordered from Ruger a few months later. They are made by Altamont. The checkering really helps my grip, and they look real nice. She's a tack driver.

There a re some real nice looking pieces in this thread. Keep 'em coming, everyone.

Shoot straight, and be safe!
