Six or just Five?

Is my Colt New Frontier safe for carrying 6 chambered rounds, or just five. Should the hammer be down on an empty chamber. It has a frame mounted firing pin, but I do not see any kind of transfer bar. I have no plan to carry it, but just need the education.

Thanks.

5 rounds loaded and hammer on the empty chamber for carry sir. No transfer bar = unsafe if dropped. Fun little shooters, enjoy it. I love mine.

Came here to say this. Five only. Don't shoot a hole in your foot. Incidentally, I'm jealous. I've been looking for a new frontier.

as with all but a few SAA style revolvers it has always been safe to carry five hammer down on the empty chamber , i even do so with my couple that have transfer bars - traditional carry mode that sticks with you ,

The title of this thread is a Clint Eastwood/Dirty Harry line.
