How does the can suppressor do for you on that rifle? Looking to build one with a can but havenít quit got around to the paperwork yet. Would make an awesome stalk rifle for prairie dogs!

Killed a bunch of poodles with it.
Thanks for the complement. I used my milling/drilling machine set up to mill and cut the slots with a 1/4" 4 flute end mill. There are a couple of slots on the bottom of the fore end also. I forgot to add in the original post that the action has been bedded using Devcon epoxy.

I'm glad your son is enjoying his. Mine sees little action now as the prairie dogs are just about as plentiful as hen;s teeth around here. Plague and poison have really wiped them out. The last one I have seen was last summer and sitting beside the highway in front of the campus of the University Of The Southwest located on the north side of Hobbs, NM inside the city limits.

Itís great. Itís probably about as loud as a normal 22. You donít notice how much of a difference it makes until you shoot it without. Iím loving the rifle, itís my first hmr.

The 'Brno' is actually a PPK...made using BRNO parts/tooling, after BRNO went belly-up. Arguably more uncommon that the 'real thing', but in this case numbers don't really translate into value or collectability, IMO.

The other one is a CZ 455 Stainless barreled action, in a CZ 455 American 'Special Edition' red beechwood stock. I recently got to playing 'musical stocks' with some of my CZs while cleaning, and thought this one was worthy of a picture.

It is rare to see not only a mannlicher stock on a 17 hmr, but a mannlicher 17 hmr being shot without a scope! I applaud you sir! I keep a Anschutz 1710 without a scope just top link with. Brings back so many memories of my childhood! So much fun!

I know what you mean about having a type! I think it is engrained. I still do not own an AR style rifle. Donít have anything against them, just not my type. I think I am afraid to shoot one an like it an then I will be hooked! With no ammo avail this would be a travesty!
This is the same reason I have not started playing golf! I donít need another expensive hobby.

Beautiful piece of lumber on that Annie! If it shoots half as good as it looks I feel sorry for those gophers!

Will you please stop posting about your 452 FS. Every time I see it I have serious sellers remorse.

Two more and you will have one for every day of the week! How do you choose which one to take?
