Hey, Im alert!
The world needs more lerts
Like you, the repeated 'ammo crisis' got me to dig out the air guns, been into them since the early '80s. Used air pistols for my home NRA Bullseye practice.
Still got my old Beeman catalog around here somewhere.....those were the days!
My premium rifle for years was a Diana model 75, T06; a true 1 tiny hole at 20yd rifle, not just at 10meters. So, yeah, me and Arty Hold are old buds.

I began indoor air rifle shooting in the fall of 2015. At one semi-formal offhand match that I went to, the match director offered to loan me his Diana 75 and I took him up on the offer. I am happy that I did. It was sweet!

That T06 trigger was Amazing! Adjustable in every way, at one time I had it so light all I had to do was lower my finger from along side and touch the side of the trigger bar, bing, a hole appeared right where I had been looking with it.
That can spoil a shooter......
Sold it a few years ago after the glaucoma got to where I cant use diopter sights any more. Sometimes I wish I had just scoped it, but a good friend has it and can use it to effect. Funny thing is that I can do better now with open sporting sights than target peeps. Plinking good enough, that is.
I got the HW97K with the intension of it being my scoped bench air rifle, and it is. Looks like the Walther LGU is comparable in size and weight and you do well enough I wouldnt shoot against you for pink slips

I have one of those HW97, air rifles. You picked a very good one. They usually will stack pellet on pellet. If you get a chance try the RWS Meisterdugeln .22 Caliber pellet. It's a wad cutter but in mine ....it will flat out shoot. Also, try the H&N Field Trophy Target pellets in head size 5.53 mm and see how they do. Both of those have given me very impressive groups at 25 and 45 yards. Just a suggestion.

Hey BB, we just got a new computer and they guy also set me up (and showed me how) to do screen prints so I now have a print out of that to use as my master copy too.
I will be giving it a go asap.
Then someday I will have to learn posting pics here (so far, every time I have tried I have failed, and I dislike failure.....)
