B O P Clark 5.5 barrel

I just bought a new b o p 5.5 from Clark it only took 9 days to get it . The fit and finish is excellent and the accuracy superb I had s t c Clark but wanted optic back more and even with back strap mine never has and feeding issue .

You won't have a feeding issue even with a top strap over the magazine area IF the extractor is tuned correctly. The extractor must be able to hold a round to the slide breech face, as the slide travels to the rear, so that the ejector can get a good hit on the empty to kick the empty case out of the gun on the same trajectory with every shot. Feeding issues are commonly caused buy extractors that don't only touch the case at the exact junction of the case body and the rim and no where else. The extractor must be able to hold a loaded round to the breech face of the slide even with gentle shaking of the removed slide.

Thanks for the great information I checked mine and it does hold the round secure that must be why I don’t have any problems with it . Always good information and knowledgeable people on here willing to share there knowledge

Bullet Bob,

The BOP stands for Bullseye Optic. This style of Clark's own barrel has the

"top strap" on it which overhangs the slide. The design is similar to that of a

Smith & Wesson factory barrel.
