I just stopped at a tiny little shop here in CT...

Hos shelves where OVERFLOWING with rimfire ammo!! 6 different brands and flavors even 22 MAG in Hornady, Remington and FEDERAL 50G!!!

Prices where a lil high but not aweful. CCI STD was 45$ a brick. Remmy Golden 525 where 30$ something and CCI 40g MAXI where 13$ But the 50g where a very high 19$ BUT its a favorite that I have not seen, so he collected 80$ form me.

I grabbed a box of the Federal 50gr hp's the other day at my local Cabelas. Only grabbed on box because I didn't know how it would shoot. At 25 yards, three rounds into a clover leaf or one ragged hole three times in a row. I didn't bother going out further as it was really windy. Left the range and went straight back to Cabelas to buy more and they were out...

I see that you stopped into a shop in CT where you found a good .22 ammo supply. If you don't mind, could you share the name and location please?

Thanks!

It's been so dry for .22LR here that people are still stalking the Wal-Marts hoping to score a box or two before anyone else knows it's there. A guy came up looking in the ammo case the other day as I was looking for some .25ACP and asked if I had seen .22LR anywhere. Told him to try online as I have north of 25,000 rounds at home. The look on his face was funny...

I can't remember the last time I bought .22lr in a brick mortar store. There is so much available on line now, and the pricing is competitive, even with shipping. I don't live close to a WM or gun store, so saving on gas and taxes evens it out.

I find the on line .22LR prices are horrible plus shipping.

The highest I have paid locally for CCI mini mags is .08 around. Most of the time it is between .06-.07 a round. The 300 round boxes at $17-$18. I picked up a Rem bucket of bullets for $49.00.

Lucky... Here in NY, I can't find jack for .22. We can't order online here due to the unSAFE Act, so the only options are to buy at the really inflated prices at the LGS (most of those won't sell .22 unless you buy a compatible firearm at the same time), wait for wally world to get their yearly shipment of 3 boxes, or to physically go out of state to buy.

Has anyone seen any Aguila Super Calibri 22 ammo? Looking for the super Calibri not the regular Calibri. Thanks for any leads.

hoffmans also had plenty off .22mag as of a couple days ago. its been on the shelf for about a month now. there were several types of cci including the a22, tnt, gamepoint, and fmj. I believe the a22 was $60 for 200rd boxes and $15/box for the other 50rd types.
