I have one of the PSA uppers that uses a CMMG bolt assembly.
I had a JP light hammer spring in the lower but it would not strike the rimfire firing pin hard enough to get ignition. The Milspec spring works fine.
I would like to improve my trigger with a drop-in unit that will actually work with the rimfire kit. Can anyone recommend a trigger?
Thank you.

I ran a Giesle for a bit and currently run a Franklin binary. Both worked with a CMMG conversion and a dedicated CMMG barrel/bolt collar setup.

I have 1 dedicated lower with this one

And 2 with this one

They both run great for inexpensive drop ins. 3½#, crisp, short reset.

I think you can find either of them for under $100.

I have used several RRA NM and one Geissele G2S two stage triggers with my CMMG’s.

Triggers for rimfire

I have POF 3.5 lb. triggers in both my Spikes AR-22's. They seem to be 100 % reliable with any .22 I have fired through them. They even came with the anti-rotation pins.

I've had great luck with 3.5 CMC triggers as well as 3.5 POF triggers. Both give good hits on primers as well as being outstanding triggers.

I run CMC drop in triggers in my S&W M&P 15-22's and my PSA 22. Never have light strikes unlike with other drop in triggers.

Another vote for the LaRue MBT. A really good trigger for $80.

I have a Rock River 3.5 lb varmint 2 stage in the PSA lower I occasionally use with my CMMG dedicated upper and it's proven to be very reliable. It's a pretty nice trigger for an AR platform considering I only paid about $70 for it.

I run a Hiperfire Hypertouch Eclipse on my dedicated lower for my Garrow 17hmr upper. I tried a Triggertech primary adaptable trigger and couldn't get reliable primer ignition under 3.5 pounds. The Hiperfire is breaking at 2.25 pounds and has been 100% reliable on ignition. The Hiperfire hammer strike increases as trigger pull weight is decreased which is just the opposite of the other triggers. It's simple to install and a smooth trigger. I actually like it better than my TT and that says a bunch considering the TT is an amazing trigger.
