Grabbed a Brooklyn Henry

Wanted a Henry for a while and decided to make do with the youth model to go with my Marlin 39a. Got it 2 weeks ago shot it loved it While looking at classifieds today saw one with stunning wood - it was one of the older henry's - "Made in Brooklyn" on the receiver. which makes it more special to me.
ended up $200 poorer and another rifle richer

It has a small scratch on the cover so thinking of stripping it
also has plastic bands so contacted henry about replacement
also thinking about putting it hi vis sights

Sounds like you picked up a winner...congrats!

Now that you've filled our heads with visions of Brooklyn-made rifles and pretty wood, you're obligated to post pics of both your Henry rifles!

Leo-
You were right about the wood, that's a great-looking rifle at a very good price!

Thumbs up Good Wood...

Looks like a great candidate for a Scratch-X treatment !! Do it when you get your metal band and front sight... The older receiver will be much easier to strip than the newer powder coat primer...
