Don't think you'll have to worry about how this one shoots. May or may not be ammo picky with the PTG, but I would bet it will shoot great.

thanks SB, yeah i kind of agree. No offense to a completely stocker doing well by any means. I prefer seeing the one folks have put some time and work into to get it shooting even better. this one was sitting there rusting on a rack. quite the change and I am proud thats for sure. I hope to run across another old bolt that needs some attention soon. could be a "Cheap Shooter III" thread started sometime

Ok, I first saw this one over at the Single Shots Pics thread. . . and now that I've seen some (certainly Que is not about to show all the little tricks ) of the work involved in remaking/remodeling this rifle I'm more than impressed. Personally, I liked the gray primer/black metal look the most, but WOW!!
Will have to watch for "Cheap Shooter III" thread I suppose.

Kinda like all of Jeff Cooper's Scout Rifle variations, may I suggest :

"The Que Series of Cheap Shooters" line. Sorry this item is NOT available through your local friendly FFL dealer, but can delight the hearts and minds of any shooter looking for a simple, elegant shooter."

Que you now have a "Public". Well deserved for a great project, IMO. Now let's hope "Fickle Fay" doesn't screw up your weekend shooting plans. May be a wash...
