Okay here is an update for us TAPCO guys.

"Any AK47 style grip will bolt right up to a Tapco stock with no modifications at all"

I have never been a big fan of the SAW style grip so this mod is something I should have done a long time ago.

Here is a pic of mine. Its just an extra finger groove AK grip I had laying around.

My Tapco build so far... still need to put a foreward grip on it... and maybe a light... also may change the grip if the AK adapter I have coming works out.

It is built on a brand new (serial number 353-014xx) 10/22 with the trigger re-worked by me, and along with the Tapco stock it now wears an E&L barrel shroud and Tru-Glo 1x 42mm red dot sight mounted on a Weigand picatinny rail.

Doesn't the E&L barrel shroud come with a grip? Easily removeable?

Yes, it comes with a grip, but it also comes with a set-screw and wrench if you choose not to use the grip... I chose the set screw because I might put a light on the lower rail, with a grip just behind it. Having the E&L grip at the base of the shroud would be in the way of the light.

I'm thinking of machining/tapping a matte scope ring half to accept the E&L grip.

The Tapco has an AK type grip stud, but www.riflestocks.com sells an adapter for $6 that allows you to use any AR grip on an AK, so I ordered the adapter yesterday... I'll let y'all know how it works.

Your's looks pretty good 9x19.

If the E&L shroud was just a little shorter it would have made it on my Tapco w/quad rail...

No...AR grips do not fit on a Tapco. AK style grips will bolt right on with no modificatins to a Tapco. If you want to use an AR grip just do like 9x19 is doing and buy the AR to AK grip adapter.

I posted a pick on here already but what the hell...I'll post it again since I like how my grip came out.

Okay guys and gals, as I promised, I got back from the garage and turned up with this:

I still like the short mag look for the Tapco though. I think the longer mag overwhelms the rifle.
http://

But the mag with the correct AR angle looks good on my Nordic:

Lightbulb full size magazine on the Tapco

Hi rotaryeye! What is the full size looking magazine in your photos?

Did you make it? Are they available somewhere? How do they mount into the rifle?

It looks good.

I'm really liking the way that turned out.. you've managed to keep it clean an simple.. I'm still debating on if I will switch out the barrel on mine. I'm leaning towards a barrel like yours. Commando 16" barrel w/5" flash hider. I'm already 99% certain I am going to go with these HK style sights..since I like being a bit different.
