50+ years of rimfires -- Finally a Ruger

I'm thrilled...was on the MkIV threads seeking recommendations on models to consider. But stumbled across this 1990's era MkII at my LGS. Couldn't resist. Super shooter. Still trying to gain expertise on field stripping though. :-) All recommendations on best way to enjoy this sweet little pistol are welcomed.

YouTube is the best source. Before YouTube people would get frustrated because they couldn’t put them back together and would just sell them. Congrats on the gun.

Tnx Ephitap and Theo. This trigger is amazing. I don't know if any work has been performed on it, but none will be. LOL Love this pistol.

Good one Theo, that was the video I used when I first took mine down to clean. Perfect.

You will love that pistol. I picked up a 5.5" target about 20 years ago and now have four. Really enjoy them, they are my favorite pistol.

Congrats on your new Pistola. I've been taking them apart for over 20 years......…...But still have to watch a video after I get rusty....

I see my rimfire rifle friends also shoot the Mks. Hello Skwer, Rosscoe, and Toomany, Already love this pistol. Amazing trigger. I need to determine if its stock, well broken in, or someone smarter than me did some 'smithing.

Looks great and should work well as a side arm carry in the outdoors!!

FWIW, THIS will give the bluing a hard and weather resistant finish that will protect your MkII Standard exterior!
