Red Dot Bases for Model 17s

Allchin mount works really well on my 617 with Vortex Venom.

I also have an Allchin on my 617.

But I now prefer the Raptor Engineering mount that's on my V_Comp, it mounts lower and not as wide.

Why does a model 17 need a scope? Are you trying for individual hairs on the gnat's azz?

I have the Weig-a-tinny base on both my 617 and 686. One advantage over the Allchin style is you can mount either a red dot or a pistol scope if that's your desire.

Why do I need a scope on my revolver? Because I can.

If only S&W would reintroduce that mountain gun then a lot more of us could love that setup! I do love my 617-6 4 with the exact mount and red dot except my mount is black.
