46M instructions on take down and assembly

Log in to see fewer ads
HI Guys, I have looked on the stickies and on youtube / google search to try to find good detailed instructions on how to do a detailed take down and assemble the 46M without much results. There are instructions on the stickies but they are mostly explained on pictures hosted on Photobucket web site thus I can't see them properly. Does anyone have good documents about this?

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

MadTrooper

HI Headhunter2, thank you for your help. Stupid me... I have completely removed all parts attached to the barril without taking pictures of my step by step removal. Since I don't have any reference or blowout of these part I can't put them back together properly. I'm in trouble..lol

I have ordered the owner's manual for it but I dought there will be detailed stripping and assembly instructions.

HI Tomcat21, I have seen those but theey don't show the parts that I need in detail. Here I took some pictures of my 46M temporarily reassembled (like I think it should be) and I'll wait for some experts to tell me if I have reassembled wrong. Thanks for your help and I hope that these pictures will turn out.

Every thing looks correct, other than the feeder tube not being installed. Can’t see if the trigger spring and plunger is in place, that is what the safety works off of. The feeder tube is held in place by a single set screw inside the barrel lug, that is the only thing that is used to position it.

HI Bone, Thank you for your help. I have installed the feeder tube like you said and the safety works good. I think I got it.

Thanks again.

HI Guys, I want to thank all the forum members that helped me with my takedown and assembly of my old 46M. Took it all apart, cleaned all the parts, and gave it a light coat of lubricant. All the actions are working good and the rifle looks also real nice. For stripping the bolt, I found this good little video of a disassembly of a 146b bolt. The 146b bolt looks a little different then the 46M bolt but it works exactly he same. The takedown procedure is the same and even the pieces are the same in the inside of the bolt. It was really useful to me and I'm sure it could also help a new 46M owner in the future.
