Ok guys been wanting a super nice 22lr for lr shooting. Been looking at voodoo and was thinking about punching card on one UNTIL.... until a friend introduced me to the 22lr cz varmint percision. I mean this thing shoots 1 hole at 50 yards. What are you guys opinion ?

For long range use, most any rimfire will do the job.
I've used a Marlin 60 made in 1974, Buckmark Varmint pistol with an EER scope and heavy bag,
455 Varmint with a variety of barrels and calibers and a semi-auto Savage 64.
All stayed on paper, with the 455 Varmint with a Lilja barrel producing the best results.
The limiting factors were, in order of importance: 1) Ammunition quality 2) Wind 3) Skill 4) Firearm/setup

I like my stock 455 VPT but wouldn't consider it an equivalent to any of the Vudoo V-22 series rifles. Basically it's a $400 CZ in a $400 Manners stock.

Mine averages 1-1.5 MOA at 100 yards with mid-range ammo (TAC-22 mainly.) I consider that good but not exceptional. I would expect more from a Vudoo.

I'll try and find a Vudoo owner nearby, can you PM the range where you normally shoot?

I have a CZ Varmint that shoots very well, same barreled action as the Percision. I have a Tikka T1X and a Kidd Supergrade. All shoot great. For long range, it is all about the ammo anyway. I win a 200yds match with the T1X, with 3 Voodoo in the match. Shooting Wolf Match Extra.

I use these two for 100 yard 22LR. The scopes are very important so u can have a view angle of 2 feet or less. Allows u to shoot at the edges of a 1/4" dot.

I also like the CZ's but they don't shoot like the Anschutz's

You really need to shoot a Vudoo before you decide. I have a CZ and an Anschutz. My buddy let me shoot his Vudoo and I immediately ordered one. My neighbor was trying to decide between a CZ and a Vudoo. I let him shoot both of mine and he bought a Vudoo.

I donít have a Vudoo, however, if they are as nice as they sound I would take one over my BRNOs.

The CZ and Vudoo are different animals, and are priced accordingly. The CZ is a Czech mass produced factory rifle that is,in my opinion, an excellent value. I own several and enjoy them all, like tinkering with them, and have gotten several of them to shoot very well for me. But I have also had some duds, which I have had to double the original cost fixing to shoot to my standards. Were they defective? Not according to CZ's 2 MOA standard, a standard which I believe would be unacceptable to most shooters here.

The Vudoo is a U.S, made custom, or semi-custom, rifle that is hand built in small batches. If you have a problem, you call or write the company's president and he works with you until you are satisfied. I have a Ravage and although I was slow to warm to it, now that I have found ammo that it likes, it has become one of my most dependably accurate shooters.

You can buy a CZ and have it do great out of the box, or you can find that you have a bit of a project on your hands. You pays your money and you takes your chances.
