Federal Black Pack

A new incarnation of Federal bulk, 1600 rounds for about $65 from what I've seen online. Plain brown box. Same specs as the blue 525 round box, which runs about $25 most places.

Those 525's are under $20 in several places, including Cabela's. Some are charging tax, some have a rebater sponsoring them, and just about all are having them on sale soon.

In addition, there's a $20 rebate per box, up to 5 boxes on all calibers. I believe it's starting on the 16th.

I saw the add, but now can't find it for the 22lr, but C's will be selling them for $40 after rebate. Less than $28 per box using gift cards and AJ. That's under 1.8 cpr delivered, tax included.

Never did like them as they are very inaccurate in all my rifles and handguns. Still, great for the kids.

You can see the deal in the link below. Make sure you scroll down far enough for the 22lr deal.

Used to be great rounds.

I used to buy those 525(?) Federals at Walmart before things went nuts. They were awesome, consistent and accurate. The latest boxes I bought were very inconsistent, causing many of my semi-autos to malfunction.

Most of my Wally Worlds have them in stock. Use the link below to check your area stores. Just put in your zip. Most of the info in my area is correct.

To me these look to be CCI mini-mags based on ma96782's review photos. I believe
the H14Z104 lot number indicates CCI factory, made on August 14, 2018. Mini-mags
are the only CCI 36gr 1260fps CPHP. The bullets look like mini-mags, not like the
bulk federal bullets in the 525 packs, plus the clear plastic CCI tray.

Great deals for black friday - palmetto has them for $59.99 and free shipping + $20 rebate.

Thanks for the photo. Good Info. That is a definitely a "CCI Lot Number" and CCI packaging.

There are also some other Federal "load numbers" that made at the CCI factory.

I'm taking a chance on these. I just placed an order with an online retailer whose
4 letter name starts with a 'B". At $49.00 per case minus $20.00 rebate and with
a $5 coupon that I had, including shipping, I'm OTD for .024 cents per round.

Cheap enough to roll the dice. These work out to be even cheaper than the
$11.99 per 500 Remington TB's that are sold on the same website since
there would shipping fees added. I feel a little safer with the Feds vs. the Rems.

We're talking $1.20 per box of 50 rounds. I can't even remember which decade
it was that you could buy .22lr at that price. What is going on here?

My experience with Federal ammo over my 68 years has been mostly positive.
Almost always decent, sometimes very good, occasionally mediocre but never frustrating PITA trash.

In stock at my Academy

I just bought 3 boxes at my local Academy. Was thrilled to see them on the shelf as they donít/wonít ship ammo to Illinois residents or to the store for pickup even. OíFallon, Illinois.

Picked up a carton at our local shop. Shot 50rds yesterday thru a Buckmark and a Sig (GSG) 1911-22. No misfires or jams, they all went bang!
Was shooting reactive targets, so no report on accuracy.
I will pick up more this week.
