I'm still here. My aging 69A's and my aging eyes can still hold their own against the best of them. And by them, I mean all them gol darn whippersnappers.

sadly I think a lot of the most enthusiastic senior members have passed and I'm not sure if we have the same number of younger members joining in to our discussions. This is in part due to the urbanization of the U.S. with fewer young people having the opportunities to shoot from an early age.
We seem to get a lot of drive by posters who want to know the answers to the Universe like what's the best ammo ever invented that costs $1 a box and shoots one hole groups at 100 yards......

Will rummage through my 2 safes and pull out some nice winchesters for photos. I'm 66 and still accumulating .22's.

I pop in often to try to learn. I'm pretty new at this. Was never into .22 all that much but about 2.5 years ago my husband (I'm a lady) bought me one I took A liking to for valentine's day. Now I can't stop .lol. please continue to post pics. I've learned so much from you guys and gals.

I'm in my 40's and pop in RFC daily but can't find time to get the photos taken. I've got a small boatload of .22's but only one Winchester so far. It's an interesting model 57 with an old lyman rear sight that I believe goes on the Model 70. Neat old rifle I use for plinking cans and such and fondling.

I'm in my mid 60's and check in just about every day. I love the older Winchesters, rimfires and centerfires and model 12 shotguns, these guns are right down my alley. I recently traded for a mint 75 sporter late model grooved receiver #85255. It has a leapold 2x7x33 r.f. special scope on it and i can't wait to shoot it. I have a winchester model 61 .22 and a 61 mag, the .22 will shoot one groups at 25 yds.

I’m 44 and have never owned a Winchester rimfire but as of late I think I would donate a body part for a nice 52. I have a pre 64 mod 70 that I cherish and have always wished that they would’ve made one in 22.

Eric, pick up a nice Model 69 Winchester with grooved receiver. They are relatively cheap in today's market. If you are looking for an old 52, your wait will be longer and your pocket lighter. A model 75 might also be nice but as an upgraded 69 will cost you. 69s were plain jane sporting rifles with very nice triggers and very good barrels. Not saying they are 52 quality but they are better quality than any Savage Mark II or Marlin.
Joe, it must be Remington Bucket O' Bullets. After all lots of people feed them to their tricked out 10/22s and only ever see 1 hole on their target. That makes a 1 hole group right

Thanks rc.
I have been considering those also. It seems that as I get a little older, the modern rifles seem to appeal less to me.

Well, my post certainly woke a few of you fine folks up. I know some of the frequent contributors to this Forum are in Cody right now where some of the finest Winchesters show up. ERIC, the M69-A Winchester is a late rifle, but has great workmanship. I have several, and I think they are some of the best 22's you can get for little money. All seem to be very accurate too. The prices are escalating, so get one now while they are still cheap. $300-$500+. Big Larry

Its a busy time for me and still no outdoor shooting allowed due to fire danger...so I have stopped in to read a bit as I can...not much to post or add.
When it slows down here...its a long road back to buzzing
