No Problem Here Either
When I received mine it had a small amount of residue from the test fire round, cleaned the whole gun thoroughly and the barrel looked great. I've seen no other problems with the barrels on any other forums either.

It's good to hear that most folks are not finding any problems with the bores on these pistols. I know S&W are capable of doing things right.
Based only on this particular thread, it sounds like I got a bad one, and two others with bad barrels were inspected at a gun show elsewhere.
I still haven't heard anything back from S&W, but I did get a notification from FedEx saying that something of about the correct weight, coming from the correct city, and requiring a signature, should be delivered this coming Tuesday. I'm looking forward to seeing it and finally getting to shoot it.

Grip.....I don't like the grip.....
I do not like the grip on the new S & W victory, with the barrel heavy design, it is awkward to hold it and point. Waiting patiently for after market from the big V people....the grip angle is fine, it is the shape of the grip.....Needs a swell at the bottom. Ruger and Buckmark are both challenged looks like to me, This pistol is easy take down, all solid stainless steel frame and receiver. The trigger is crisp with a little take up. I am sure this echoes previous comments here, it is also my take. I cleaned it up and shot two full clips, dark was falling, excited that I could still see the sights. even though I could not see the target as well.

I received an email today from Scott Volquartsen, he said grips would be available in 30 to 45 days for those who are interested.

Maybe I am the odd guy out, but I actually quite like the factory grip shape/feel. It is certainly different from my Buckmark feel but the more I hold it the more I'm realizing how well it fits in/outs/curves of my hand.
