I bet it's a model 45. K-framed .22 cal fixed sights 4" barrel. Basically a model 10, but in rimfire. Never cataloged for retail. A special order for mail carriers in rural areas back when. Very rare and one of my grail guns.

Yes, it is a Pre M45 Post Office Model, M&P 22. #C407568, was shipped June,1958. It is a 4 screw variation. No letter yet, so I don't know who got it. No markings on it at all. These are not rare, but a little scarce. My buddy took it out and fired it at 25 yards, and it is very accurate.
It has, numbered to the gun, PC stocks. One of my grail guns, it came up for sale at a Cabelas, and I was 2nd in line. The first guy passed so I got it. Not cheap, but that's what credit cards are for. Big Larry
