10/22 extra power hammer spring question

What benefits does one get from installing a "WOLFF extra power hammer spring" in their Ruger 10/22 rifle ? Is it for a faster lock time ? Is it to solve the problem of light primer strikes ? Or is it a necessary addition when changing from a stock trigger return spring and a stock sear spring to a WOLFF reduced power trigger return spring and a reduced power sear spring ? Can someone please explain. Thanks.

don't know what, if any, benefit there is in using a heavier hammer spring in a .22LR chambered 10/22, but I use a heavier Magnum hammer spring in my 17Mach2 (along with a heavier charging handle and shorter barrels) to help prevent case bulging, which can happen when the bolt starts to open while the pressure is still high in the barrel
