Revel in the Wichester History

Its not a great comment "Revel in the Winchester History" but Winchester has had a great history. Unfortunately for Winchester, questionable manufacturing/business decisions coupled with the the Modular nature of firearms today means works of art are now too expensive to make. It is now about putting out cheap rifles with aftermarket parts.

I saw one poster ask that people keep posting pictures. Unfortunately for Winchester enthusiasts, it may have devolved to that but that doesnt mean we cannot celebrate the cutting edge functionality, the old world craftsmanship of years gone by and share in the beauty of those rifles which still exist.

As long as people still appreciate the beauty of the older rifles, this will always have life.

A Model 63 I engraved a while back. I don't know if I have any other pictures of it.
I restocked it, B-carve check'rg pattern. Inlays are 24k.
I just take a rifle and do my thing with it every once in a while.

A couple other pics of it:

Wow. That is pretty, and I'm not big on engraving vs polished blue That looks really nice.

On top of that, Winchester hasn't really had significant rimfire rifles on the market since the New Haven plant closed in the 90s. Even Remington and Marlin, in spite of their dubious adoptive parents, produce acceptable rifles for today's market. I guess Herstal Group is content to let Browning alone carry the rimfire product line.
