My Howa Mini .223 Ultralight topped with Talley Ultralights and a Leupold VariX II 2-7x33.
I'm loving this combo and can't wait to pick up a suppressor for it.
If you look closely you can see something unusual about this one which I will soon explain in a new thread in this forum

Mauser 308
Here is my Mauser 98, with a new Lilja 308 barrel. I just finished redoing my Mauser, with a new Hogue, grind to fit recoil pad and a 27 inch Lilja, heavy barrel installed. With the barrel being so long, I also rebuilt the nosecap, making it a little longer. The rifle is weighing in at 12.2 pounds. and 48 inches long.

Larue Tactical OBR 308 with Leupold 6.5x20. Accuracy rivals some very nice bolt guns.

Good gracious me Al, I most certainly do not!
They still have "The Bloody Tower" down in London where they could drag wretched Yorkshire lads like myself in, never to be seen again!
Here is a humourous history lesson which may explain my reluctance to offend the Monarchy.

You may want to consider moving your mount back to the upper receiver, and off the hand guard. A cantilever mount may be necessary to keep the scope that far forward, but doing this will give you a much more stable mounting surface.
