Thanks for the info. Back in May last year Ruger had issued a press release about the walnut 20" model saying:
"Following on the heels of the successful reintroduction of the 77-Series bolt-action rifles, Ruger is also introducing the 77/17 chambered in .17 WSM with a 20" blued alloy steel barrel and American walnut stock. Flat shooting and superbly accurate, this rifle also features an improved trigger pull over previous 77/17 WSM models."
I was wondering if the 18/5" version also had an improved trigger but reading some reports, it doesn't sound like it. I haven't heard anything about the trigger on the 20" version. I'd be surprised if the trigger is any different than the other WSM models. I love my 77/__'s but they have all needed trigger work.
