Good shooting Stan. Glad to see you got a break in the weather even if short lived.

Good job Joe. The 580 series were very fine rifles and very accurate.

Well shot Joe, with my favorite 580/581/540/541 series of rifles.
And yours looks very well dressed in those sights.

Thanks Jack

It's pretty yucky out, I have to take it hour by hour to see when I can go to the range.
Beginning of the rainy season...

I like the iron sights. Very elegant

Thanks guys, there's some good shooting going on again this month.

Stan's doing a great job keeping us sharp!

Some new faces, it's good to see more folks joining in.

Jack, the Annie seems to like most ammo I've tried in her. I think the heavy barrel helps with that, less vibration and milder harmonics dampens out any bad vibes.

I'm using up the middle of the road ammo I have accumulated over the past few years. If it's not great shooting stuff it's still good enough for most targets.

We have a postal match coming up over the winter that I'll need the good stuff for, it's a nasty target, even at 20 yds.

Excellent shooting everyone! The little dot on these class III scoped targets is the same size as the rim on a .22 shell, that sure doesn't leave much room for error! Great target Stan!

Excuses: Trying out my new Mueller scope I got for my birthday. The scope sees better than I can shoot!

I've been distracted with a new to me pistol and pistol shooting lately, so I figured I better get back in here before I forget how to shoot my rifles. Good to see plenty of quality shooting going on, and some new names as well.

RFC Alias: Signmaster
First name: Bob
Score w/ bonus: 100/100 +10 point bonus for shooting at a 90% sized target!
Class: C1 irons
Iron sights: Redfield
Rifle make: Remington 513 T
Ammo: Federal AM22 Automatch
Weather conditions: Indoor
Excuses: Nope, figuring out these globe sights still

I shot one at a full sized target, and got all ten in but a little loose. The target got stuck downrange when the equipment wouldn't bring it in. I was testing front app sizes and with the largest I have the smaller targets were better. The best groups were with a 75% target size, but I didn't think to just put 10 holes in either of them.

The little ducks kicked my tail. I THINK I know the solution... we will see. I didn't take any smaller front apps, but I think that is the key here. Not sure about the head shots yet.... but it looks to be about a 1" head so...... How do you guys deal with the odd shaped targets?

I see some more great irons shooters, hoping to figure it out even more as I go. These fun shoots have helped me a lot with figuring out the sizes to use.

I hope all the shooters are doing well. I've been meaning to at least pop in and comment, but I picked up a High Standard Victor so.... yeah shooting pistol lately!

Good shooting Bob...

I wondered where you had been.. Down at the pistol range, it seems!

That reminds me, I just changed EDC pistols for the winter. From a Commander sized 9mm to a Commander sized .45..
The pistols fit the same holster
