Super nice, do you have regular rugers to or just the customs ones? Wondering how they compare.

No regulars only the customs

Big difference in fit and finish of all parts, guns are much lighter and of course more expensive but they are compation guns not plinkers or hunters.

Range????
Wassat?
I be sooooooooooooooo lucky.
I live in the country on 15 acres of woods, 150 yard range out the back door,
NO close neighbors, deer, squirrels, even the odd duck on my creek.
25 and 50 yard pistol range, bench rest, and lots and lots of .22 r.f. ammo!

BUT! Those pictured Ruger pistols make me jealous.
I can see I need get to customizing one of mine.

Striplin thumb rest

yep that is number one of that model. I am sure he just hasn't had time to add it to his site. Contact him direct and he can fix you up.

A better view of it

Is that just the s&w victory thumb rest? I contacted Billy and he said that he doesn't make on like that for a Ruger (oem or VOLQUARTSEN frame)

?

That's strange... as I sent him one of my VQ lowers for him to use to make one.

He returned my lower with that thumb rest attached and it was supposed to be the prototype... I don't know if he decided to not make them or what....

I went to his website and there is no listing for VQ's or MK III's and It does look like the same one that he brought out for the victory. If so it will fit the VQ lowers don't know about MKIII's as I don't own any.

I at first thought it was too far forward and moved it back using only two screws for testing... after shooting it that way for a couple of months I moved it back like it is in the photos and now shoot with it that way... The only change I have made is to add some grip tape where my thumb goes.

He may have decided it had more marketing value for the victory. if so I don't know why he would not list it for both victory's and VQ/MK III's

Only he can clear up the mystery

That is strange - I emailed him and specifically asked about the vq frame, and showed him this thread. He replied that it must have been someone who bought a victory rest and drilled their frame.

That's odd. I may order the victory one, I'm just worried about the fitment since it's not specifically for the vq frame.

Hey Bill

My lower arrived today and all I can say is WOW

The thumb rest looks great and feels even better.

Have done some dry fire with it and can't wait till the 25th for my next steel match. Hope to do some live fire with it after the USPSA match this Saturday

Here are some photos I took of it. I can throw a post or two on a couple forums if you would like me to "announce" the new product.**
