New to your community.I recently acquired an old model 52 pre a speedlock that was made in 1934ish sn:28073,it was a weapon that has been hidden away since 1950s.....how I came to possess this wonderful rifle is an amazing.
There I was sitting in my favorite watering hole, when a friend of mine came in with a list of firearms his deceased brother in law had.. most of them was the same old boring guns ARs,revolvers, ect I spotted a Remington 512 on the list and offered
150 for it and the deal was made.
When he brought me the rifle,he said that he had an old bolt action 22 that he would sell me for 150 I told him to bring it by,a couple of nights later he brings it to me at the bar in soft case I put in the car not looking at it until I got home.
The next morning I opened the case and there it was.....A pre(A) speedlock model 52!!! It even had the Lyman "Lollipop rear sight"!
I walked in the next night and gave him 450 I would've gave him more but the rifles stock had been chopped on,mechanically the weapon seemed sound or so thought......after thoroughly cleaning it I took it out to test fire it and zero it, It would not zero I got home inspected the crown, sure enough it was damaged by someone with a cleaning rod I recrowned it and went back to the range and %%%%! this rifle is accurate!!! Shooting Gem Tech subsonic match ammo 5 shots inside .25 at 25 yards with the original sghts off sandbags and a rear sock

Just sign up for a free account on Imgur. Dont even think of using Photobucket. It will walk you through it and it is easy to upload images. Once uploaded, click on an image and a right hand sidebar will appear. Choose the one that says "message boards" and it will copy the image. Then just drop it in the message you write.

I commend you on your honesty and congratulate you on finding such a great rifle. Truly worth what you gave him.
