I just paid for my first Weatherby and first .17 HMR rifle, the Mark XXII bolt. I should have it by the end of the week. I'll post pics once it arrives.

I previously owned one just like it. They are a beautiful rifle and the Anschutz Quality is magnificent!

I have one in 22LR. You're gonna like it.

Almost forgot; we'll need a range report of course.

Talley mounts with Weatherby "W" must have been purchased thru Weatherby. Same year as my purchased new 22lr, AS=08=2008. Mine is accurate and I like the S&K stocked Weatherby/Anschutz looks. Anschutz 5094 single stage trigger sear adjusts nicely. I replaced the extra heavy trigger spring Ulm, Germany puts in with one much lighter.

Good info on the trigger spring, where do you find them? Edit: After some research, it looks like J&P Custom Products is the place to get springs for the XXII. Let me know if there is another or better source.

I got mine from J&P. They will sell you one spring $11.00 as is the single, extra heavy (J&P's Anschutz section), if you know for sure which one heavy/medium/light you have in mind or the set of three hvy./med./lgt. I have the light one installed. J&P says this must be able to get you down to 8oz. although I haven't measured mine. Anschutz used to have great access to their trigger adjustments on their previous website (used to) their new website is like a fog screen maze to me? Either I have no idea how to navigate it or it stinks, quite possibly the latter? In case you don't know how to adjust the 5094 steinie does a good job. https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forum...39&postcount=3 Actually the hardcopy I kept of Anschutz's trigger adjustment says 1/4 turn back of the sear adjust screw after trigger release and this gives 5/100mm sear engagement and can (possibly) be tricky as in trigger release when you don't want it. I went a little further back like steinie says just to give a slight bit more sear engagement. J&P show a picture of a 5094 trigger/spring and rifle in their Anschutz spring section that was (same picture) borrowed from steinie's post.

P.S. Seeing as this is a used gun check to see if the factory spring has been replaced? The factory extra heavy is a pretty stiff spring which has both ends ground flat. None of the three J&P's I purchased had any grind on their ends and were made of lighter gauge.
