I read some good reviews on the load. As anyone tried it out on a coyote? Going to try it out on crows first thing.

CCI makes it, and it's the same as their Gamepoint.

It's designed to not blow up prey the way the V-Max does. Hence the name Gamepoint

It's the second most accurate round in my 3 .17hmrs - Anschutz 1717HB, 1727F, and Volquartsen Fusion.

1st place goes to the CCI TNT round and the Federal and Remington versions (all of which are made by CCI and are identical in every way except for the label).

Thumbs up

I have found both the xtp and the cci jsp 20 grainers to be very good groundhog loads. I switched to the 20 grain load at start of this season and likely will continue using them in the future. The last several years I'd been using the 17 grain v-max and did see a difference in terminal performance between the 17 and 20 grain loads. From point of shoulder, to and including head is the only poa area I use for all angles of shot presentation. I am certain it would and will be a good load for fox but haven't tryed it yet. Only used the v-max on fox and works fine on lung shot. Can"t comment on coyote but will guess an under 100 yard head/neck shot would be lethal. Try em if ya can find em!

The 20gr. HP's and SP's behave more like big game bullets, Vmax is explosive, often too much so.

Hey Bobcat here's a youtube vid I found comparing the v-max and the 20 gr xtp. Done at 40-50 yds and it does show a bit of difference between the two loads in gel.

Thanks i hadnt seen that one. I watch one on u tube. A guy was shooting the 17 gr v max vs 20 gr xtp in 5 inchs of sheet rock. The 20gr xtp shot thru it all. The 17 gr made it thru little over 4 inchs.
