I bought it today and fired it a bit today. I noticed that the factory sights aren't that great also the trigger could use some work. Any suggestions?

Are the mec gars at a lower plane than the factory ones? I think the factory sights are set up for a suppressor, since my state doesn't allow supressors at all id be better off with smaller sights that doesn't compensate for a can

I went with Williams FireSights to upgrade the sights they also have excelent target sights. To improve your trigger pull issues replace the sear and hammer bushing. I used the Voquartsen target sear and the Mkll hammer bushing.

www.rimfiresports.com Volquartsen parts/

I've dealt with both companies and had good responses from them. RS&C is a forum sponsor and ships for free... I'd rate them best supplier for your buck.

What about the tandemkross bushing? Could you compare it to the volks?

If your 22/45 is not a Mark IV, Majestic Arms Speed Strip kit

I think it was made by Mec-Gar, but it was 20 years ago when I put it on. I also have a Mec-Gar rear sight on a Beretta 92FS.

For the price point if you are just wanting to eliminate your Mag Safety the TK bushing works. The TK bushing was my first upgrade for my 22/45 LITE and was a snug fit. Later I learned that the Mkll hammer bushing's 7/16" diameter would help clean up that last little bit of creep in the action when slow firing off the bench. I ordered one I think the next day. The VQ Mkll bushing works just as well for the Mag Safety delete job but helps the trigger feel a little cleaner, more in line with the Ruger Mkll pistols triggers. The two are priced almost identically, so really it is a no brainier. And yes, it is fully compatible with your Mklll.

" I think it was made by Mec-Gar" thanks for the picture . That is a Millett Model 100 rear sight. Millett still makes products but no longer makes sights since Bushnell bought them. It is a shame because the Millet 100 was a good improvement over the factory sights and reasonably priced . They still pop up for sale from time to time I have two of them.

Thanks for the correction. Yes, it was a major improvement over the Ruger sight. I like Ruger guns, but not a one of them has decent sights from the factory.
