I really don't like the plastic stock, but for that price, why not. I wonder if there are any decent wood stocks available that don't cost an arm and a leg. I just want wood like the hardwood Ruger stocks, I don't need fancy or even walnut, just wood.

Just picked up a never fired HB SS in Boyds Pro Varmint. Only shot a few so far but impressed so far. Seen coyotes around in the daytime. My beef calves and chickens in the pasture don't need any of them.Attachment 218225

Did some shooting from a nice solid rest. That's 3 shots from 90 yards and a dime for scale. Very happy with the setup. I did a bedding job and its tightened up the groups.
