MAS 45 Sling Swivels

I bought a nice MAS 45, so nice I cannot tell if it's ever been fired. Only problem I have is the gun has 1" sling swivels and I really want to put a 1-1/4" military sling on it for positional shooting.

I suppose I could cut the original swivels off and drill the existing studs through to accept aftermarket swivels but I'm hesitant to permenantly change anything on the rifle with it being in such exceptional condition.

A buddy suggested seeing if CZ swivel studs will fit but I'm skeptical whether I will be able to find the exact same thread pattern and my initial web searches for CZ swivel studs has come up empty.

I've also seen sling "Hook adapters" on Creedmore Sports website but they're only for 1-1/2" to 2" I believe.

What would you do?

Swivels

The MAS45 has the barrel nut that slides along the barrel to hold the sling on and the
barrel to the stock. You would have to find a sling that screws into the nut

I don't understand why you think you have to cut the swivels off? They both unscrew very easily from the stock. Then the rear is easily replaced since it's a wood screw and the front shouldn't be too difficult either; just D&T the barrel nut for the new swivel (if different than the original), or better yet, make a new barrel nut for the new swivel.
