Right. Auto match is HV ammo.

Not sure what you mean by this? Most of these comments are positive about the LCP .22. Mine runs perfectly.

Is yours a dud or are you just pontificating?

Curious if anyone has tried Velocitors or CCI MiniMag Segmented HP's in theirs? I've got large supplies of both but wonder how they'll perform.

Mine runs fine with AutoMatch and btw, AutoMatch is 1200 FPS. Mine also runs fine with SV at 1050 unless my wife is shooting it. She has a tendency to limp wrist a bit, so that is an issue. She shoots AutoMatch just fine.

Just got back from the range. Don't have any segmented. Shot 50 rounds each of velocitors, and stingers with the last 10 round of each as fast as I could pull the trigger. No failures of any kind. I know from past experience it will shoot anything Aguila, even the 60 grainers with no failures. This is one of the best small 22 pistols I have ever shot. In fact, it's my daily carry gun. I know, but I live in a small midwestern town. The only time I go out at night is when I walk 2 blocks to bible study. I have other carry guns for other times. I will never part with mine. It's plenty accurate, and way too much fun to ever let it go.

I shot 200 rounds of the Federal bulk 800 pack today. Had 4 failures to fire. I consider this stuff cheap bulk ammo suitable for a 15-22 for plinking. Keep in mind this gun had about 1000 rounds through it without being cleaned. Switched to Aguila hv and CCI mini mags with no failures. Cleaned it when I got home, and yes it had a carbon ring. I don't have good luck with bulk ammo or Winchester in my guns. This pistol works great with quality ammo. I have a Pachmyer grip sleeve on mine. I have always preferred the feel of Pachmyer grips over hogue.

"Ruger sure launched a dud with this thing."

Not sure what inspired that comment, but my opinion could not be more different. I think it is a sweet shooter that has become my favorite 22 (among many).

My only criticism is with the sights. I can see the sights; they are crisp and clear in use, but they are not adjustable. This is particularly problematic with different ammo having differing POI.

I think I may have solved the problem...I think...with Stingers, which today shot acceptably close to POA, at least at 25 and 50 feet.

Past that, I have nothing but compliments for the little 22.

Want a far superior 22? The LCR22 is one of the best out there. I can outshoot myLCP so much better. And I never, repeat never worry about a failure. Very seldom do I get one. Once in a while a Dud come along but then again it is a revolver and ya just keep on shooting.
The LCPl. I give points for Ruger for producing a firearm like One of their 380's. But what a shame they had to put that ridiculous insane trigger on? Why they did not use the smooth DAO like the GEN2 is beyond me.

I had to send mine back for adjustment due to feeding issues and failure to firs, ie light strikes. Had it back within a week and it seems to be OK now. Call customer service and be polite, it never hurts and often helps. The sent me a pre-paid Fedex shipping label too.
