A few days ago i ordered items from Midway USA then a couple days later ordered more items . Now the tracking sucks always said check back next day , well starting last night this shipment is being treated as a international order and is awaiting authorization by customs. I will wait till Monday and try to start calling the numbers listed if that will do any good. I have never had this happen before always pretty good delivery service , how bout you.

So is this about UPS or USPS?
I know that even if a tracking number is generated, it may take 12-24 hours before it shows up in the system. Even then it may still be waiting on the package to arrive at the shippers intake point.

For the most part, tracking info is near time…sometimes delivery info is within minutes.

You may inquire with the vendor you purchased item from to check with the shipper if things are amiss.

All the big carriers are slower than before. It took two weeks for a rifle I bought to get from Washington to Kentucky with few and far between updates with Fed Ex. Then it took a week to get a scope from Illinois to Kentucky using UPS from a company I frequently use that normally takes two days. It’s the “new normal”.

Yeah, they are all slower. I just ordered a gun that had to be shipped from Utah to Arizona. It took 9 days instead of the normal 2. Wonder what's going to happen to "overnight" shipping.

It’s strange, it took almost 10 days for the KRG chassis to arrive, but my order for 5000 rounds of mini-mags arrived 2 days earlier than the tracking said it would..

Well that is what is funny about this shipment it started out as UPS then was handed over to USPS.

I see it on a regular basis, UPS and USPS have a delivery sharing deal, the first time I saw it was about 2-3 yrs ago.

It depends on your location.

UPS used USPS to "end deliver" at my ex's, just a few miles away, but never here where I am now. FedEx does at both, however.

Only for small packages (typically bubble-wrap envelopes) - anything else they deliver themselves.

Scope ordered from EuroOptics arrived in two days via UPS, small parts from CZ are up to 5 days now and Fedup isn't updating the expect delivery date, I give up, it'll be here if/when it gets here, same with Airgun Slugs ordered from UtahAir.

SurePost and SmartPost

The UPS to USPS service is called SurePost. Its been around a for few years and I believe is a ground service selected by the shipper. FedEx has the same thing called SmartPost.

I’m 44 and can remember ordering from a catalogue and it taking 6-8 weeks for something to arrive. So I guess it’s not so bad.
